“Come to Me with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed… Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year.” This quote along with the rest of the devotional from the Jesus Calling calendar gave me the strength and courage to spread my wings once I got
that final nudge out of the nest. Flying solo for the first time has been both terrifying and exhilarating! I wanted to be able to inspire and motivate women, particularly mothers, to be the best they could be, and do it with a faith based influence.
Strong Mom Fitness’ first Spring Breaking Boundaries challenge started off in a whirlwind! An incredible group of women came together to set goals for themselves and to break out of their comfort zones. They ran, planked, burpeed and otherwise pushed themselves to their limits. In just 8 weeks, they accomplished and surpassed goals that at one point seemed beyond reach. The hard work, determination and ability to juggle being a wife and mother with the craziness that life throws in our path makes each of these women a “STRONG MOM.”
It is truly incredible what can be accomplished when you put your mind to it! I can’t express in words how honored I am to be able to teach a group of such extraordinary women. You’ve not only decided to lead a healthy lifestyle, but you are an incredible example to your families, especially your children. I thank God every day that He led me down this path for my life and that He put such incredible people on the journey with me. Seeing you accomplish your goals and watching you grow as women, mothers and athletes is really one of the most rewarding things I have ever done!

CHRISTINE SIGNED UP FOR THIS challenge hoping to get out of the moving funk. Instead she went through a total transformation! In just 8 weeks, Christine went from having to exercise to wanting to exercise – even on vacation!!! Her upbeat attitude has also inspired others to join us on our journey for healthy living! In 8 weeks, Christine improved her mile by 15.8%, her sit ups by 86%, her push ups by 100%, her plank by 100%, her burpees by 133%, she lost 4.75 inches and 7 years off her metabolic age!!!! What amazing accomplishments for only 8 weeks!
Our Runner up, Molly, in addition to collecting the most prizes – THANK YOU – also had our fastest mile and our longest plank: 5 minutes!!! She improved her sit-ups by 6%, her sit and reach by 27%, her burpees by 38%, her wall sit by 100%, and lost 7.25 inches!! Way to go Molly!!
